The tz database is distributed in the public domain under the IANA terms of use.

The tz database (timezone information) is in the public domain. The IANA Time Zone Database is published under the terms described at https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6557, which places the database in the public domain. Anyone may copy, distribute, and modify the data without restriction.

This is not a licence text; the public domain status is asserted by the tz database maintainers.
